I decided to try a
municipal course out west ,COOPER COLONY COUNTRY CLUB. This course
use to be semi private but has recently been taken over by the
county. The condition of the course is not fair to rate as I was
there the Saturday after both Hurricane Bonnie and Charley blew
through the South Florida area.
Get ready to improve
your putting, as the greens are full of breaks in every direction
(whom ever takes care of the greens has a great sense of
humor, I have seen less cowlicks
in a head of hair) . The gallery is as old as the course (built in
1959) and some of the iguanas take umbrage to you trying to shoot
your ball from the edge of the water.
Prices are reasonable
($18 with a cart). Walking is permitted and walking carts are
available.
