LAKE WORTH
MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE
This course is
BE YOU TEE FULL! You have to try it! Built in 1924 William Langford
& Theodore J. Moreau and the greens keepers definitely
know what they are doing! Right along the intercoastal
waterway off of North 10th Ave. in Lake Worth it affords some
wonderful summer breezes and gorgeous scenery.
There are some
incredibly challenging holes (like the 5th) and just to give you all
a heads up...the greens are S L O W.......real slow, but don't put
too much punch into the putt, it will break just where you
thought it wouldn't and head uphill!
This is classic
Florida Golf and worth the trip (takes me an hour to get
there!)
The starter, is very
accomodating for those who arrive early (and late) for
tee times. We were paired up with some really great people (thanks
for a great game Larry and Diane).
Everyone here is very
home town friendly (not the insufferable types you find at the
stuffier courses). The Pro Shop is well stocked and the clubhouse is
beautiful. I hear that the food at the restaurant is great!
There are no water jugs on the course, and
this Sunday we did not see a cart girl. I really had a great game
and a great time! (I don't keep score, so I always have a
great game).
And yes, people who ride Harleys
do golf>>>>>>
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Very creative golf bag carrier
for the back of the bike! (We will be having a similar product
available soon!)
Dick Wilson and Ward Northrup
have done redesigns on this course. There is a nine hole rate
available after 2:30 PM and walking is permitted!
