This is a golfers DREAM VACATION
SPOT! A little pricey during season for CHEAPGOLFNOW standards, but
very affordable in the summer time. I got into Naples late on
Saturday and was able to book a tee time on very short notice! (30
minutes)
This spectacular resort, built
alongside the Gulf of Mexico, has some of the oldest trees in the
area scattered throughout its layout. A few did not survive the
storm , but the greens keepers have it right back up to
par!
What a challenging course and I
didn't hit the water once! (Lost 15 balls in the grass though!)
There are lakes that come into play on six holes, including #3, a
173-yard, par 3, which will test your skills with a shot over
water. The signature hole is #18, a 398-yard, par 4, requiring your
approach shot over water to a well-bunkered green.
Richard, the starter, made sure I
had plenty of ice water for the afternoon (it was HOT!) and Jessie
(bag handler) was more than gracious and helpful! This course is a
"MUST PLAY" in the summer! Plenty of Gulf Breezes to keep you
cool.
